Just wanted to say what a good website you have. I was puzzling over which badges to move from the beaver to cub uniform by comparing the two pictures on the official scout website then I found yours which specifies it exactly. Despite the fact we live miles away in Surrey you have been very helpful – thank you!

2nd Ramsbottom Scout Group
My Name is Phil Anderson and I am a retired Scouter from Glossop District Scouts, I have in my procession a shield to a Fr John Reynolds GSM/GSL 1956/1964 Ramsbottom, I would like to return this shield to the Group that he was GSM/GSL.
I know that there are several groups in your district so you were the first on the list, can you help me contact the group that he was from.

I suspect that since the GSL you mention was “Father” John Reynolds, it could be St Joseph’s (3rd Ramsbottom).
I’ve forwarded your email to our GSL who has almost 40 years of history in the district. We’ll see if we can help to track down the right group for you.
